For shelters and foundations
Bring Paws Home is a search engine for adoption listings from local shelters and foundations. It was created to help people interested in adopting quickly find dogs and cats waiting for a home in one place.
Our goal is to make adoption listings more visible and to send users straight to the organisations' original websites. The search engine does not replace a shelter's own website or its adoption process. Every listing links back to the source it comes from.
What we show
The site shows:
- a photo of the animal,
- species,
- age,
- a short description,
- the name of the organisation,
- a link to the original listing.
Working with organisations
We want to work with shelters and foundations in a transparent and convenient way. Each organisation can agree with us on its preferred way of sharing and updating listings. For example:
- CSV or JSON files,
- an API,
- a recurring data export,
- another arrangement agreed individually.
Why it matters
People looking to adopt an animal often browse many websites one by one. A shared search engine helps them reach the right listings faster,
and gives organisations extra visibility and traffic sent directly to their own website.
